Diploma in Corporate Management

Course Objectives

The Diploma in Corporate Management is a professional management programme designed to meet the needs of persons who require a general management qualification. The aim of the programme is to provide a balanced combination of practical management skills and focused academic knowledge. The priority is to enable participants to apply principles of management to practical situations in their individual work environments.

Therefore,there are two stages to the assessment procedure:

  1. modular assignments and
  2. an end of year examination

Subjects

  • The Corporate Environment: Includes the corporate setting and relevant social, economic, legal and political factors.
  • Management Processes & Functions: Includes management of self, working with other people, management functions and organisational strategy.
  • Managing Information Systems: Includes systems, statistics and finance and Electronic Commerce.
  • Managing Human Resources: Includes individual behaviour, working in groups and managing people.

Qualifications gained

Students who successfully complete all four modules will be awarded the Diploma in Corporate Management by the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM).
